British Council grants GREAT Scholarships from universities in the UK in several disciplines to students from 18 countries. Each award is a minimum of £10,000 for tuition fees for a one-year postgraduate taught programme. Each scholarship is funded by the GREAT Britain Campaign and the British Council, in partnership with UK higher education institutions.

As a business partner of the British Council, international students can obtain GREAT Scholarships from AHZ Associates. All GREAT scholars will be invited to a welcoming event in the first semester and a networking event in the second semester as part of the programme. GREAT scholars must:

Be a citizen of Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, and Nigeria
Have an undergraduate degree, be motivated, and have an interest in the proposed subject area
Meet the English language requirement of the UK HEI
Establish an engagement with the UK as a scholar through personal and academic fulfillment
Be willing to attend a networking event of all UK-based GREAT scholars to discuss experiences and capture perceptions of studying in the UK
Be willing to maintain contact with the British Council and their HEI and act as an ambassador for the GREAT Scholarships
As an alumnus of the GREAT Scholarships, be willing occasionally to speak to potential candidates about their own experience of studying in the UK.

Aston University

Aston University has four GREAT Scholarships, each worth £10,000, available for the 2023-24 academic year. Three scholarships are for any taught master’s programme for students, the subjects you can apply for –
