AHZ Associates has partnered with The Daily Star Award to honour the high achievers in O-Level and A-Level examinations in a programme today, with the inspiring tagline “22 years of saluting the nation builders of tomorrow”.
Students from both Edexcel and Cambridge are being honoured at the Mirpur indoor stadium for achieving excellence on their O- and A-Level exams. The Daily Star was giving awards to 2,671 students (1,843 O-Level and 647 A-Level) to inspire and honour them.
On behalf of AHZ Associates, A.K.M. Golam Kibria, Chairman of AHZ Associates, congratulates the high achievers at the O- and A-Level awards ceremony, Zahirul Islam, Chief Commercial Officer and Country Manager of AHZ Associates, were there to attend the event.
The awardees’ parents, families, teachers, friends, and special guests attended the event.
The awards ceremony commenced with a performance of the national anthem. Mahfuz Anam, The Daily Star’s editor and Publisher, welcomed the packed audience around 9:30am.
“We are so happy and elated… We pray that each of you become a symbol of success for humanity,” he expressed to the students. The inspiring words from Anam resonated with the attendees, setting the tone for the rest of the ceremony.
“Learning is at the core of education. It instills a never-ending curiosity for knowledge, which marks a true student of learning. Cultivating this spirit of learning is paramount. However, it’s important to note that knowledge holds great significance and is crucial. Yet, in addition to knowledge, one must possess courage,” he stated.
Furthermore, he emphasized, “Knowledge alone is a mere skill, lacking courage.” “However, when coupled with courage, knowledge turns into wisdom.”
Mohammad Nurul Huda, Director General of the Bangla Academy, attended the programme as the Chief Guest.
Among others, Manas Singh, CEO of STS Capital Limited, Abdullah Al Mamun Liton, Regional Development Manager for Pearson Edexcel (Bangladesh and Nepal), Shahin Reza, Country Manager at Cambridge Assessment International Education, and Rahat Ahmed, Founding Partner and CEO of Anchorless Bangladesh, were at the event.
Since its inception in 1999, The Daily Star’s annual awards ceremony has served as a source of inspiration for many. Over the years, the event has grown in popularity, attracting students, parents, and educators alike.
