Applications Welcomed for Chevening Scholarships

The British High Commission in Dhaka is welcoming applications from Bangladeshis to secure Chevening Scholarships to study in the UK.

The Chevening Scholarships are the UK government’s international scholarship programme. They are funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Development Office and other partner organisations. 

Accepting Applications for Chevening Scholarships:

Applications for this programme are accepted from August 2 to November 1, 2022. The applicants should submit their applications via www.chevening.org/apply/.

Outstanding leaders from around the globe are given the opportunity to pursue a one-year master’s degree in the UK with the help of this Chevening scholarship. They also have the opportunity to benefit from a huge range of exclusive professional, academic, and cultural experiences.

However, there is no such thing as the “typical” Chevening Scholar, those who are successful in achieving the Chevening Scholarship award typically possess ambition, leadership skills, and a desire to affect positive change in their home countries.

They invite candidates to apply if they match the qualifying criteria and other standards. The candidate’s gender, age, sexual orientation, religion, marital or parental status, caste, class, or other traits do not matter. What counts is the candidate’s capacity to submit a well-thought-out application that proves both their ability to succeed in a demanding master’s degree in the UK and their ability to articulate a distinct future goal.

He explains that their 50,000-strong global network of alumni is filled with dynamic influencers who have shared UK universities’ experiences.

The high commissioner also adds, “If you are someone who is passionate about driving change on a local or global scale, if you want to be the best at what you do and have the imagination to inspire others, then a Chevening scholarship offering a year’s study at a UK university could be the perfect opportunity for you.”

From the time the programme was created in the year 1983, over 50,000 professionals have secured this opportunity to experience UK education through Chevening.
