Overview

Leeds Trinity University is a very tiny university with a large reputation, thanks in large part to the professional work experiences that are required for all undergraduate degrees at Leeds Trinity. Graduate outcomes, Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA), published in 2022, found that 95% of graduates were either employed or enrolled in postsecondary education within 15 months of graduation.

Every student here receives the academic and personal assistance they need to flourish. This is why the National Student Satisfaction Survey among mainstream universities in 2022 found that students were most satisfied at Leeds Trinity University.

Although the institution has always placed a strong emphasis on teacher education and theology, it has recently made significant investments in expanding its media studies and journalism programmes, providing students with access to well-equipped studios in a variety of disciplines. Two-year degrees in fields like sports coaching and tourism and leisure management are just a few of the new programmes that have been made available in recent years. Every degree at Leeds Trinity includes a professional work placement, which is a great opportunity for students.

History

Trinity College and All Saints College were founded in 1966, but were initially run independently by the Sisters of the Cross and Passion and the Catholic Education Council, respectively.

Principals Sister Augusta Maria and Andrew Kean worked closely together and eventually split up administrative duties while being assigned to different schools. Kean oversaw the school’s curricula, faculty, and external relations, while Sister Augusta oversaw the institution’s finances, physical plant, student life, and administrative functions. The Andrew Kean Learning Centre and the Sister Augusta Maria C.P. Auditorium both bear their names today.

Since there was such a high demand for teachers in the 1960s, these institutions sought to differentiate themselves from their competitors by giving their students a more hands-on education in the classroom.
