BA Fine Arts degree is internationally recognized, and respected degree that will develop students creative and critical abilities which is a route into a rewarding career as a professional artist. This course aims to develop an extensive range of valuable as well as transferable skills that can lead a student in any number of directions after graduation.

Course Details

There are a wide range of courses available in fine arts degree, including contemporary skills like game development and design, interior design, photography and arts like acting, fashion, film, and so on.

All courses are lined by the teaching fraternities who are practicing artists, media producers and designers. According to the requirements of the industry, students need to develop their academic knowledge with success as the courses and study programmes are tailored to balance practical instruction, theory and industry-relevant skills.

The courses are designed in two different modules. One is studio practice- that covers around 75% of the course and then around 25% of course is designed for the critical studies. Universities rarely provide studios divided by year or discipline, so students will get a chance of studying alongside the students from all stages of the programme. Students will get in-depth knowledge in a wide variety of media, including:

Studio teaching is supported by workshop areas, which will introduce the techniques and skills relevant to the practical development of your work. Year 1 Exploring and examining the historical and critical context in which art is made, seen and understood.
Year 2 Engage and extend the critical skills,
Enabling students to develop their ability to analyses,
Judge and write about contemporary art.
Year 3 Support the completion of the dissertation.

Entry Requirements

English Language Proficiency Test

  • IELTS: At least 6, and a minimum score of 5.5 in each element of the test.
  • TOEFL: At least 87 overall with no less than 20 each module.
  • Language Cert International ESOL: A minimum of 33 or above in all 4 modules.

Some universities offer pre-sessional English language programmes if the students’ score is below the institute’s requirements. As some English language proficiency tests such as IELTS test results are accepted not more than two years older, the English Language test report are suggested to be valid on the start date of the course.

Academic Qualifications

Undergraduate:

A level with no less than C in any subjects are encouraged to apply. Along with A level or equivalent grades students, the students holding international Baccalaureate Diploma with completion of minimum 27 points can also apply for the course.

Graduate:

The UK universities usually expect students for Masters level of education with a first or upper second-class honours degree or its equivalent in fine arts, however, from the background of creative arts, social science or equivalent are also eligible for submitting application.
While submitting the application, students will be asked to send a digital portfolio of creative work.
