University of Bedfordshire

Bedfordshire breaks into the top 100 in Guardian University Guide 2018. The high quality of teaching is one of biggest reasons students come to Bedfordshire. Many of our highly qualified academic staff have received National Teaching Fellowship Awards for their outstanding contribution to teaching and learning. It has modern campuses with top-class facilities.

Teaching Methods

  • Within the University of Bedfordshire Business School students can benefit from Practice Weeks, where students get the opportunity to work alongside businesses on real projects, learning key skills in confidence, negotiation, time management, teamwork, and planning, to name a few – all key attributes and behaviours that employers wish to see in their graduate recruits.
  • Law students learn to present cases in the on-campus Moot Court; nurses hone their skills in simulation labs, and all students are encouraged and supported to make their experience of work and of volunteering a key part of their academic experience.

Student Support

Luton is a cosmopolitan and vibrant town with students from more than 140 countries. This diversity means that all religious and other beliefs are well represented within the local community. The Community and Faith teams provide confidential support to all students and staff. Teams are available to give you time, to listen, to help you find the guidance you need, to make friends, and if you wish, to pray with you. The Counselling Service is here to help you gain as much as possible from your time at university. Team aims to offer you prompt access to counselling if you are experiencing any problems of a personal or emotional nature that may be interfering with your academic work and your life. There are more services available based on student’s needs.
