Job Prospects & Employability
Employability is at the heart of much activity in the School of Sport. As a school, our vision is “to lead, inspire and shape the future of sport”. To this end, we are pleased to announce the second annual Sports Employability Fair aims to provide a forum for employers, students, School Ambassadors, partner colleges and members of the general public to discuss the wealth of opportunities for a career in sport and recreation. Sport and recreation organisations from all over the region will be in attendance and information on study choices at Ulster University will also be available.
At present, there is a wealth of sources of information, activities and initiatives that seek to support the employability agenda. While internally we promote and support the graduate qualities of our students this can be reinforced by exposure to industry voices. Proposed exhibitors are sports organisations, small businesses and large employers from across Northern Ireland ready to share insights from their work with attendees.
The School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, supported by Norbrook Laboratories Limited, offers the Barnett Pharmaceutical Sciences Scholarship for students who hold a confirmed conditional offer of a place on the MSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences Programme. The Scholarship will support a maximum of two scholars and will be used to cover the full amount of the scholars’ tuition fees (up to a combined total value of £10,000 per annum) with any remaining funds being paid directly to the scholar in support of living expenses.
The Barnett Pharmaceutical Sciences Scholarship is now closed for applications. Information will be sent to all eligible students in summer 2017 with the scholarship(s) to be awarded in the academic year 2017/18.
Our staff offer professional advice and guidance on many issues including your academic progress, managing your time and finances, settling in generally or adapting to living away from home.
