History of Falmouth University

To “promote the useful and fine arts, to encourage industry, and to elicit the ingenuity of a community distinguished by its mechanical skill,” the Falmouth School of Art first opened its doors in 1902.

Using imagination to shape the future of manufacturing was the original mission of the institution. To mark this occasion, they dug into the past and polled the locals for insights into the forces that have moulded us.

The Communications department at Falmouth University has been responsible for creating the prospectus covers in-house since 2016. In 2023, they captured the vitality of their students and their developing creative identities as a driving force for innovation using a combination of studio photography, careful image enhancement, and thoughtful graphic design.

International students at Falmouth University have the opportunity to network with one another and travel to places of historical and cultural significance through the university’s international society. There are many free English lessons, CV writing workshops, and courses in specialised fields of study offered by the University.

At the start of each semester, we offer a pick-up service from London Heathrow Airport.
