The University of Edinburgh
Edinburgh Global Research scholarship
The awards are meant for international students interested in pursuing PhD in any field in 2018-2019.
Applicants must pay tuition fees at the rates that are applicable to international students and should have been offered admission to a full-time research program (PhD).
The University of Bristol
Candidates are eligible to apply for this scholarship if they already hold an offer to an undergraduate or postgraduate full-time program at the University at Bristol.
Students who have been sponsored and students in receipt of other scholarship/awards over £3,000 are not eligible.
Cardiff University elite International scholarships
Vice – chancellor’s international scholarship: This scholarship offers over £2Min providing grants as well as awards Undergraduate and Postgraduate students.
Vice-chancellor’s International Scholarship for Research Excellence: Funding of tuition fee in full with an annual stipend is offered to international students pursuing PhDs for up to 3 years.
Postgraduate taught scholarships: If you want to study on a taught postgraduate program, funding can be obtained from both the University and external organizations.
PhD Research scholarships
If you are looking for a Doctoral program, funding is offered from both the University and external organizations.
The Beacon scholarship
If you are applying to an undergraduate course, you may consider this scheme. All disciples except medicine are accepted.
This scholarship is awarded to exceptional candidates for international students applying to pursue a postgraduate degree in any stream at the University of Cambridge. All expenses are covered by the scholarship. It also provides a stipend of sorts upon the discretion of the board.
Warwick chancellor’s International scholarship
The Warwick Graduate School awards about 25 scholarships to outstanding applicants pursuing PhD. Any student irrespective of nationality and discipline is allowed to apply for the scholarship. It covers the tuition fee in full and provides a stipend for maintenance.
University Scholarships, London
London Universities offer scholarships for international students, which can help in paying tuition fees and also support the students throughout their studies.
- London South Bank University: LSBU shows great value to the international students for the academic and cultural diversity they bring to the University and is offering scholarships of £1,000 to those who want to pursue undergraduate, postgraduate or PhD studies.
- University of West London: The University gives international students the chance to apply for one of the 100 International Ambassador Scholarships, worth up to £5000. These are available for both the September and January admission intake.
- Kingston University, London: The University awards more than 40 international scholarships to foreign nationals every year. These awards are given to encourage academic excellence, develop relationships and so on.

There are numerous scholarships available for students aiming to attend University, especially international students. However, many universities set a deadline for application quite early in the year as there would be hundreds of applicants and hence it is advisable to start applying early.

Eligibility for loans for students from the government of UK can be complex and it is better to read all the requirements very carefully.
Only students who have lived in the UK for the past 3 years prior to studying are eligible for loans.
